Many projects for children

Promoting girls' sports
The idea came from a trip to Ghana at the end of 2022. The volunteers were at a school in Tolon when some of the girls in the soccer club told us about their difficulties: many families refuse to let them play soccer, as they are more useful for household chores... False ideas are circulating in the villages to scare girls into believing that if they play soccer, they'll never get pregnant.
So we wanted to help girls practice their passion for sport, and more specifically soccer, more openly.
To this end, during our next trip in early 2024, we organized an afternoon meeting with the chief and other stakeholders in the village of Tolon to explain our approach. We were even lucky enough to welcome members of France Volontaires for the occasion, who witnessed the volunteer work carried out in Ghana through our actions.
We then organized a match by inviting the Dahinseli girls' team, who play at a higher level and who, thanks to sport, feel a lot of benefits. These girls and their coach conveyed all the positive points of practising sport, against preconceived ideas.
Our efforts must continue...
giving kids the opportunity to realize their dream of playing top-level soccer
With Uniq Sport Stars Agency and African Footballers Connect, we've been trying to organize this tournament for a long time, with the aim of getting agents from Accra to come and see the potential talent in our teams. So this is a first, as no other agency ventures into this remote and isolated region of the capital.
The event took place on Sunday February 18, 2024 on a beautiful field rented exclusively for the occasion. The children trained hard to be part of the team selected for the big day.
For most of them, it was the first time they had trained on a “real” football field !
5 matches took place. The final was won by our Kumbungu team. Well done!
But most importantly, the potential caught the eye of our professional guests.
If some of them are selected, they have the opportunity to train for 1 year at the training center in the capital Accra, while continuing their education. From there, they can land a contract with a local club at the highest level, or even in Europe for the rare pearls...

exchange in schools
When volunteers are hosted in Ghana by local volunteers, they like to visit the schools in the neighborhoods where the association's children live.
A time of exchange with the pupils is generally proposed, with the help of aids.
For example, in this photo taken in October 2022, Lucie, Séverine, Laure and Pierre present landscape photos of the places where they live: city (Paris), countryside (Le Vallon in Aveyron).
Students then raise their hands to answer or ask questions, give their opinion, compare with the landscapes of the region in which they live...
